Hand picked

A fresh bunch - hand-picked for their expertise, experience and energy

When putting together our team, we looked for three things - one, expertise: how skilled were these people; two, experience: had they been at the coal face and, if so, what had they achieved; and thirdly, energy: how passionate and motivated were these people by what they did every day.

The result is a fresh bunch of professional communicators, designers and marketers recognised by their peers and the industries they've worked in as dedicated go-getters.

And even though they're a bunch of award-winning, tertiary trained senior level marketing professionals, despite their achievments, they still don't mind getting their hands dirty and they certainly don't shy away from hard work. That's what makes them different from all the other bunches out there.

Expertise, experience and energy

Our core team comprises specialist consultants with more than 65 years collective experience in marketing, corporate and government communications spanning diverse industries including:

  • professional services
  • energy
  • environment
  • information technology
  • health
  • education and training
  • real estate
  • mining and resources
  • retail
  • social services
  • e-business
  • non-profit organisations

Megan Channer

Megan Channer

Principal and Marketing & Communications Director

If tenacity was a marketable commodity, there's no doubt Market Fresh's marketing & comms director would be a rich woman. Now she's using her drive and persistence to help Market Fresh clients accomplish their business goals, and to never lose sight of their business visions.

As co-founder of Market Fresh, Megan focusses her boundless energy and enthusiasm on delivering end-to-end communications solutions from strategic planning and problem-solving through to delivery of targeted marketing collateral and public relations services to meet her clients' individual budgets and business goals. Her aim is simple: to help others achieve their vision by living out her own.

Megan brings to the table diverse skills and experience attained over almost 15 years in hands-on communications, marketing and public relations roles in the corporate, government, community and SME business sectors. Her 'boots and all' approach to getting things done ensures Market Fresh services live up to client expectations.

Over the past two decades, she has developed and implemented numerous successful communication and publicity campaigns around a range of complex and high profile corporate, environmental and social issues including significant legislative changes, organisational restructures, sizeable business technology upgrades, product and company launches and general business promotion.

Megan’s experience includes media and public relations, corporate communications, change management communications, professional services marketing, social marketing, brand development, advertising campaign coordination, and marketing communications including direct marketing and online marketing.

No job is ever too big or too small for Megan. She has helped manage marketing budgets in excess of $6 million and achieved successful outcomes for social marketing campaigns with extremely tight budgets.

Megan has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) from Queensland University.

Kate Henry

Kate Henry

Principal, Creative Director and Production Manager

Everything our creative director touches turns to brand. Don't stand still too long - she might just turn into a much more consistent, cleverly designed version of yourself.

The true sign of any good artisan is the quality of their tools of the trade and their dedication to their art. If you ever see Kate without her trusty Mac laptop in tow, please let us know and we'll send you a gift voucher. We're so sure you won't see Kate detatched from her lifeblood that we'll even make it a $100 one at a store of your choice.

With a focus on branding as the starting point for her innovative design work, over the years, Kate has created and rolled-out numerous branding and corporate identities for businesses, events, products and services.

Kate brings more than a decade of design expertise to Market Fresh's clients, from Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and recently London, where she was the lead designer and brand developer on the award-winning 2007 Tour de France London Grand Depart development team.

Kate has extensive design experience spanning the government and corporate sectors, with particular experience in the professional services industry, where she worked as the in-house design coordinator for a leading national law firm.

She is now committed to developing creative and memorable designs for Market Fresh clients. But it's not all style and no substance - great design is only great if it embodies the client's brand and effectively communicates their key messages.

our team

We are passionate about what we do

Here's what our bunch have to say about their work

"Planning is my passion. I bring a logical framework and a whole stack of experience to the table.

Lots of people don’t like planning, so finding someone who happily spends their spare time planning everything that isn’t pinned down is probably pretty rare.

I bring an extremely focussed and comprehensive approach to all the work I do. I leave no stone unturned, and clients can be confident that I will get to the bottom of what their customers really think, feel, need and want.

I literally won’t rest until we’ve considered every single available option and strategically selected the best one for the client.

Too many people make the mistake of either incorrectly, or incompletely, articulating their business vision and goals, their objectives, and their key messages. And this only means one thing – nowhere near the success you want.

For every problem, there are a multitude of solutions – but you have the find the right one for you – based on a whole set of things like external factors and internal capability. If you pick the wrong one, you won’t end up where you need to be."

Jennifer Campbell Case

"I am a big believer that, in a pure sense, marketing is simply about connecting with people – people who happen to be your customers, stakeholders and even your staff.

It's about creating buy-in from otherwise disengaged parties that will lead to benefit for both the business and the consumer.

Coming from a legal and communications background, I tend to use lateral and analytical thinking to shake up what has sometimes become a stale and repetitive process.

Not surprisingly, my skill is in helping businesses pin point their unique selling point and to take a good look at themselves in a fresh and different way.

The fact is, my communications skills are only a small part of a much bigger "brains trust".

I believe in taking a big picture approach to marketing, as opposed to a narrow one where traditional marketing solutions are the only options."

Megan Channer

"Creative people who can only be creative are fantastic. They make wonderful artists, musicians and dancers.

What they don't make is great designers. Why? Because design isn't art. It's business.

I hear the same comments over and over from people about their designers: "They don't come up with anything new; they won't listen to what I say; they take too long; they don't seem to get us...they make too many mistakes."

So why can't you get design that's not just pretty pictures but actually provides solutions? Why can't you get what you want, delivered on time, on message and error-free? You can. You just have to call us."
